MH 40gsm PVA cold water soluble nonwoven embroidery backing is a 160cm-wide white backing paper made from 100% polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) that dissolves in cold water at 38°C.
The nonwoven backing is placed under lace, applique patches and embroidered fabric to stabilize the stitching, then rinses away in cold water at 38°C without heat.
Its 40gsm weight offers good flexibility and tensile strength, so the embroidery keeps its exact shape after the backing is dissolved.
The 160cm width suits full-width embroidery and applique work, and MH produces the backing in white for top-grade underwear, modern garments and special-fabric embroidery.
